Antica Designs didn’t begin as a brand.

It began as a feeling — one that Akshatha carried within her long before she gave it a name.

In 2010, that feeling found its first recognition. Akshatha won First Prize in Hand Embroidery at a national level competition conducted by Anchor, with her work featured in newspapers and magazines. It was a proud milestone, yet like many early achievements, it felt like a fleeting moment — not yet a life path.

So she did what many of us do. She chose stability. She became an engineer, following a conventional road and building a career that made sense on paper, but creativity has a way of staying with you.

It revealed itself in the smallest details — in her love for intricate craftsmanship, in the grace and expression of dance, and in the quiet joy of creating something by hand. No matter how far she moved from it, art never truly left her.

Over time, one truth became undeniable:

Creativity was never just a hobby — it was her identity.

In 2017, she made a choice that many only dream of — she chose herself. She took a leap of faith and turned that inner calling into Antica Designs.

Deeply inspired by Indian heritage, culture, and craftsmanship, Antica Designs is a reflection of Akshatha’s journey — where tradition meets personal expression.
